Mahindra has achieved a major milestone by selling more than 30,000 electric SUVs within just seven months. The BE 6e and XEV 9e, part of the Born Electric range, have played a key role in this growth. With fast charging, advanced tech and up to 500 km range, Mahindra aims to expand its EV portfolio further soon.
The strong performance of these two eSUVs has been a significant factor in doubling Mahindra’s market share in the electric passenger vehicle segment in 2025. The company had previously announced delivering over 10,000 units in just 70 days and crossing the 20,000 units mark within five months of their launch.
This rapid sales growth is attributed to strong customer demand, with over 30,000 bookings recorded on the very first day the bookings commenced. Mahindra has been actively ramping up its production capacity to meet this demand, further solidifying its position in the competitive Indian EV market.
The Mahindra BE 6e price in India starts at Rs 18.90 lakh, while the XEV 9e starts at Rs 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Both eSUVs come equipped with Level 2+ ADAS and can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger.
In terms of performance, the BE 6e can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, while the XEV 9e takes around one second more to hit the same mark. Mahindra claims that both models offer a driving range of up to 500 km on a single charge. For passenger safety, the electric SUVs also offer seven airbags as standard.
